Client Advisor

Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer

FLSA Status: Exempt, Salary

Location: Remote with office space available in Spokane, WA

The Client Advisor is a highly experienced enterprise security leader who is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and providing leadership to manage and mitigate risk for TorchLight’s enterprise clients. This is supported through the development of processes and reporting relating to regulatory, IT, and cybersecurity requirements in a manner that supports business operations. The Client Advisor also directs the enterprise information security strategy, operation, and budget for Information Security communications, applications, and infrastructure, including the policies and procedures which apply.

Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Facilitate the development, implementation, and monitoring of a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program for enterprise clients
  • Manage information security budget to maximize the reduction of risk and return on investment
  • Work directly with client business units to facilitate threat modeling and risk management processes
  • Provide strategic and specialized information security expertise to client executive and IT leadership
  • Oversee creation and implementation of security frameworks and plans in extremely complex environments
  • Maintain real-time knowledge of current Information Security, compliance, and privacy trends
  • Provide strategic security leadership to client executive team and/or Board of Directors
  • Create high-quality information security documents such as case studies and whitepapers to educate clients and prospects
  • Identify, document, and track sales opportunities for expansion in engaged accounts
  • Build relationships with partners, customers, prospects, and the community at large
  • Mentor information technology and information security professionals

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in information security or a related field required, with some leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field required (post-Graduate education highly preferred)
  • Extensive enterprise-level IT and cybersecurity experience required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other C-level executives and boards of directors
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of information security technologies and products utilized to secure information and prevent cyberattacks
  • Must have a deep understanding of common industry compliance requirements such as PCI, HIPAA, NIST, GLBA, and SOX
  • Must obtain and maintain a variety of security-related certifications such as: CISSP, CISA, CISM, and other appropriate cybersecurity certifications
  • Must maintain active membership in appropriate peer and networking groups

Abilities Required:

Must be able to travel potentially 25% of the time-dependent on client needs and the state of advisable travel in the USA.  Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, particularly during speaking engagements.  Must successfully pass a Washington State background check.
