Location: Remote with office space available in Spokane, WA

The Solution Architect is responsible for supporting all sales efforts from qualification, client meetings, development of sales proposals and SOWs and addressing technical questions. This role supports and enables the achievement of TorchLight’s sales revenue targets established annually.


Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:

  • Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, and development functioning as the technical bridge between TorchLight and customers.
  • Develop technical presentations and documentation to support request for proposal (RFP) responses, proposals, and statements of work for new security services and architectures.
  • Stay current and informed on new developments in the Information Security industry.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to provide full assistance in lead management solutions and achievement of sales targets while adhering to cost of sales objectives.
  • Support business development activities; networking; and referral generation activities to achieve qualified face-to-face selling opportunities.
  • Work with other staff and Sales personnel to provide client quotes and SOWs in a timely manner.
  • Act as a subject matter expert at client and executive briefings, as well as marketing events when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT-related field (CISSP, CCE, or PFI Certification highly preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience with technical sales or pre-sales, including working with and positioning Cybersecurity services, incident response services, and threat intelligence and threat hunting services
  • Experience developing meaningful client relationships and C-level relevance across enterprise organizations, including CFO, CIO, CTO, CISO, and others
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts, practices, and procedures, including endpoint detection technologies, SIEM, SOAR, MDR and security event analysis and response
  • General knowledge and understanding of SOC tools processes, ITIL, and ISO/GDRP/SOC compliance
  • Experience with cybersecurity solutions – Managed Security Services, Security Consulting Services and Security Hardware and software is preferred
  • Knowledge of Cisco security ecosystem and MSSP environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with ServiceNOW, Splunk, AlienVault, OKTA and Microsoft Security and Compliance Center is desirable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and anticipate the needs of a changing landscape.
  • Ability to exercise the highest level of discretion and sensitivity on both internal and external confidential matters

Abilities Required:

Ability to lift 25 pounds, drive for work use, sit and stand for long periods of time (particularly during speaking engagements), ability to kneel and reach, and vision including focus adjustment.  Must successfully pass a Washington State background check.  Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time.
