Channel Daily News Interviews TorchLight’s Bo Wheeler for Podcast: “TorchLight is nothing but cybersecurity, but everything cybersecurity”

Bo Wheeler, Chief Revenue Officer at TorchLight, recently appeared on the Channel Daily News podcast with Don Witt to speak about the company, its mission, and the cybersecurity protection it provides for its customers.  He also discussed the new services the company has launched to meet today’s cybersecurity challenges.

Wheeler detailed the history of TorchLight as an evolution from Intrinium, a Pacific Northwest-based IT services company. In late 2021, Intrinium spun off its cybersecurity practice naming it TorchLight and began to expand the geographic service area and the depth and breadth of cybersecurity services.  The company has launched a new service model called complete security solutions provider (CSSP), which takes the capabilities of an MSSP and adds value-added reselling and security consulting services.

Wheeler discussed the company’s flagship products, which are focused in two areas but leverage the company’s security operations center (SOC). The company has launched its turnkey managed detection and response (MDR) and ransomware gap analysis and defense services based on its extensive partnership with Cisco Systems.  TorchLight can also leverage its SOC to knit together comprehensive security solutions using a customer’s already installed systems. Wheeler also said that the company emphasizes client onboarding of security services, which helps to drive adoption and thus further improves the impact of the services.

On the podcast, Wheeler offered his thoughts of TorchLight’s mission and idea of success. He stressed the company’s desire to be good corporate citizens contributing to a more secure world, meeting these goals by helping customers mitigate their security risks.

When asked for advice for resellers or customers seeking MDR solutions, Wheeler impressed the interviewer with his response: “Identify your critical assets and then secure them. If you need help securing them, then come see us at TorchLight.”
